Thanks to social media, trolls, critics and observers have made it their lifelong duty to criticise, bully and troll celebrities.

But some celebrities are just not having it and have been involved in some epic online brawls with a troll or two.

It’s the season of celebrity clapbacks! And, because we know this, here are 7 Nigerian celebrities who have had epic social media showdowns.

1. Kate Henshaw

Fans better not mess with this diva! Kate Henshaw is hot and we aren't talking only real life but on social media too!

The actress started the social media war this year with an epic clap back at a Twitter user who tried insulting her Ibibo language and has not gone quiet on other trolls ever since.

Warning: If you're not ready for a showdown don’t troll Kate. She will mess with you.

2. Caroline Danjuma

Caroline Danjuma has been a victim of social media trolls this year. The ‘Stalker’ producer deleted her Instagram account on April 7 following a story of her husband’s alleged infidelity by blogger Stella Dimokokorkus.

The couple’s marriage has been criticised by trolls who published hateful comments on her Instagram pages. But did she keep mute? No! She even went as far as publishing a statement on she no longer ignoring negative criticisms targeted at her.

Let’s not forget her epic social media showdown with a fashion critic who called her out for wearing ridiculously cheap earrings and ‘darn’ shoes for her ‘Stalker’ movie premiere.

3. Uche Jumbo-Rodriguez

Another action lady who will not keep quiet when called out or trolled. The actress was recently fat-shamed after she shared a red carpet photo of herself at a movie premiere, April 3, 2016.

She was also called out on Twitter over being old and unmarried to which she gave an epic clap back!

4. Ebube Nwagbo

Nollywood actress, Ebube Nwagbo in a bitter exchange on Instagram, replied an Internet troll who tagged her a witch.

Ebube had shared a photo of herself with heavy make-up done and an Instagram user with the handle @hayford_omo_kuti called her a witch.

Having none of it, she replied him by saying, "Oh really???It takes one witch to know another..Pls could u help me find my way back???Anuofia."

5. Toyin Aimakhu

This actress is giving Kate Henshaw a run for her money when it comes to a show down on social media.

She recently lashed out at a fan who criticized her for leaving her husband and it was brutal.

Names were called ‘Oloriburuku’, ‘Omo ale’ and several terms best spared you off. She also once called a fan an 'Amoeba' following her being body-shamed.

6. IllBliss

The rapper for the first time ever went berserk on social media after a fan called him out for not churning out hits.

Cursing that the fan's mum would be raped by a thousand bats and branding him a bastard, Illbliss went all out!

7. Jim Iyke

Lets not forget Nollywood's bad boy, Jim Iyke. The father-of-one shared the flier of a party on his Instagram and an Internet troll commented that Jim Iyke’s page is boring. He also called him an “asshole.”

Jim Iyke did not take the insult lightly. He went on a lengthy rant in his reply to the Internet troll.
